INDIANAPOLIS – The 2018 Indiana Military Veterans Legislative Day will be Tuesday, January 9th at the Indiana State Capitol.
This is the fourth annual event for the IMVLD, and is intended to get our veterans together with their legislators to discuss specific issues our veterans and their families face. Veterans, their spouses, significant others, caretakers, and their children and families, in general, are encouraged to attend.
The morning will begin with a march to the State House. The group will rally at the intersection location on Robert Orr Plaza and West Street at 9 a.m. The Marchers will move East on Robert Orr Plaza toward Senate Street Entrance at the State House on the lower level.
The meeting location for the march is at West Robert Orr Plaza (intersection of Robert Orr Plaza and West Street).
Indiana Military Veterans Legislative Day is a bipartisan event sponsored by State Representatives John Bartlett and Jim Baird. Planning and coordination are done by a veteran volunteer committee and spans across many organizations and individuals.
WHO: All Hoosier veterans and their immediate family.
WHAT: 2018 Veteran’s March to the Capitol and Indiana Military Veterans Legislative Day.
WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, the veteran’s march begins 9 a.m., state house event begins 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: March begins at Robert Orr Plaza and West Street intersection ending at Indiana State House, 200 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204, IMVLD event begins 10:30 a.m. inside Indiana State House south wing on the main floor (Floor 2).
WHY: To connect Hoosier veterans and their families with their Indiana General Assembly senators and representatives regarding veteran-specific legislation during the 2018 Indiana General Assembly session.

10:30 - Program Begins (remarks from Rep. John Bartlett, Rep. Jim Baird and Governor Eric Holcomb).
