Indiana State Police are searching for a person who robbed the Centre Bank at 111 N. Water Street in Hillsboro.
According to police reports, the robbery happened at 4:32 p.m. Friday when a man robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
The initial investigation by Master Trooper Detective Josh Edwards has revealed that a white male approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds, wearing a white hard hat, a safety green hooded sweatshirt, dark construction/cargo type pants, brown gloves, silver wire rim glasses and possibly wearing a fake beard handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to information provided.
No gun was displayed but did indicate that he had one. After receiving the cash, suspect left the building on foot going north from the bank.
If anyone has information on the robbery or saw the suspect leave the bank, they are asked to contact Edwards at the Indiana State Police Post in Lafayette at 765-567-2125. Information can remain anonymous.
No one was injured in the robbery. This is all the information that will be released at this time, according to the news release.
