The Warren County Courthouse was packed with people waiting to find out election results the evening of Nov. 6.

There was a high number of voters in Warren County’s General Election Nov. 6.

“It was a good turnout,” said Deb Hiatt, circuit court clerk of the 57 percent voter turnout.

The day of voting ran smoothly, just like the evening of tallying the votes.

The day’s work she gives credit to the poll workers.

“I couldn’t be more proud of all the people who helped out.”

This will be the last election in which she’s the clerk because of term limits. This election voters approved Michelle Hetrick. Hiatt will continue working in the clerk’s office, she said.

Hetrick said, “Deb has been a wonderful person to work for and with. I look forward to continuing our working relationship as she’s still going to be here in the office.”
