INDIANAPOLIS — The Bomber Wrestling Club’s Gold Club finished up its season by participating in the ISWA State Wrestling Tournament in Indianapolis on March 10-11.

The club had 13 wrestlers compete in the two-day event, which had 2,000 kids register.

Rensselaer Primary School kindergartner Kolton Spencer, the son of Michael and Ashley Spencer, had a fine tournament, placing first in the state in his weight division. He finished the season with an unbeaten record.

Tyson Cotner, a third-grader at Van Rensselaer Elementary, placed seventh in his division.

Middle schooler Quinten Chapman, who is a member of the BWC, competed in the Iron Eagle National Tournament in Columbia City, Indiana, on the same weekend, collecting two technical fall wins and three pins to claim first place in his division.

The BWC team would like to thank everyone who watched the wrestlers grow this season as a team. Special thanks to coaches James Oliver, Jason Robinson and Hunter Hickman for their leadership this winter.
