Business can be bought by contacting the center

The Rensselaer Bowling Center actually closed in mid-May and the owners have decided not to reopen for the fall.

The Rensselaer Bowling Center, once known as Collegeville Bowl and before that the Maple Lanes bowling Alley, will not be opening its doors again this fall. After weighing their options since closing the center in mid-May, building owners Dick and Barbara Arnott decided they would not be able to run it any longer. Barbara Arnott said a lack of available help was the reason behind the decision to close it.

The couple are currently both in their 80s, and running it without good consistent help was not possible for them. It is normal for the center to close temporarily during the summer months. And Barabara Arnott said she and her husband had been considering whether they could open it in the fall or not. They came to a decision to close the center several days ago.
