RENSSELAER — The city of Rensselaer’s sixth annual Rock the Arts summer music and art festival will be held at Potawatomi Park on this coming Saturday, June 22. Locals are encouraged to visit with each other at the park, between 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., to support local art, artists, and public art. Admission to the event is free for kids 17 and under. For adults, there is a $5 fee.
This year’s festival events will include an arts market (11 a.m.-6 p.m.), a free yoga class, performances from local theater groups and performances from various musical talents, including Shiny Penny, Dawn & Hawkes, City Webb, Stairwell Six, Rodney Watts and Greg James & the Peaches.
New features this year include an axe-throwing activity and a and toddler town play area. More information on the event is available at prairieartscouncil.net.
