RENSSELAER — Rensselaer’s Parks for People Campaign recently became active once again. And the campaign’s leadership wished to express thanks to Dennis and Rick McElfresh of McElfresh Concrete, who donated labor for the city’s new dog park.
The campaign seeks to raise $1.5 million for three local projects in town. The first and second are improvements and upgrades to Brookside Park and the space referred to as the Monnett/Staddon property along South College Avenue. And the third is the planned dog park along Bunkum Road.
Construction on the project began again this week. Funding for the whole campaign is now just $224,500 away from its ultimate goal of $1.5 million. Those interested in contributing to the campaign may do so at https://www.jasperfdn.org/donate/ or by dropping off a check at the Jasper Newton Foundation.
