With the success and growth of American Reformed Church’s mission to help feed the community and fight the rising number of children who go home hungry on the weekends from school, ARC has sought help from others to reach out to more people. 

In November 2014, the church received three grants from the Jasper Foundation. The money was used to include bags of hygiene items at a mobile food pantry, provide gift cards for meat, dairy, or produce in backpacks given to local students and allowed 24 more backpacks to be distributed. These backpacks were provided to Kankakee Valley Intermediate School and Wheatfield Elementary School students, through a cooperative effort for the last school semester.
