Kentland Bank pledges $5,000 toward new Kentland firehouse

To help kickoff a donation drive for the planned new Kentland Firehouse, Kentland Bank pledged $5,000 toward the project June 4. The Town of Kentland is currently working on an OCRA grant application and to receive the maximum amount of points on the application, needs to generate a specific amount of private donations. The required goal is $57,000 and no government funds are allowed to go toward that amount. A fund for the donations have been established at the Jasper Newton Foundation. You can donate directly on their website or mail direct to them. The foundations website is below. Please make sure you specify “Kentland Fire House Project” when you submit your donation. All donations need to be received no later than June 14th. If you have any questions/concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Debby Shufflebarger, Matt Wittenborn and/or Dustin Standish.
