MONTICELLO — Opioid use in White County and across the state has been termed an “epidemic,” and a training later this week will help inform the public about what they do to help in an emergency situation.

From Sept. 9 to Sept. 13, the White County Prosecutor’s Office filed 27 cases related to criminal matters for a total of 574 cases so far this year.

From Sept. 2 to Sept. 6, the White County Prosecutor’s Office filed 22 cases related to criminal matters for a total of 547 cases so far this year.
