Meet Silver!

The Happy Tails Animal Shelter Pet of the Week is Silver, a 1-year-old male Schnauzer. He comes to us from a shelter in Texas that we work closely with every year. He was transported to us June 29 from Texas and has been making himself home in Indiana ever since! He is very energetic and loves to run around and play. Silver doesn’t seem to pay too much attention to the other dogs and he even stays in the same cage as some of the other smaller dogs when they are outside. He behaves and plays well with the other small dogs, but has not had any direct interactions with any of our larger dogs. Cats also do not seem to bother Silver very much and he pretty much ignores them whenever we have to walk by any of the cat enclosures. Silver is very good on a leash but will need some work with other commands. He is totally potty trained and has no accidents in his cage overnight or during the day between volunteer shifts. Silver would love to meet you and your other pets and find a forever family! He would be a perfect lap dog and would love to snuggle right up next to you. Come give him a visit! The shelter is located at 8954 N. West Shafer Drive, next to the Dollar General in Buffalo. Hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 5-6 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Priority donation wish list: Fabuloso, bleach, blankets, and scoopable cat litter.
