Meet Copper

The Happy Tails Animal Shelter Pet of the Week is Copper, a 5-year-old female with lots of love to give. Copper spends most of her time curled up in her blankets or a small box, but loves affection when she gets it. When she does get out of her cage, she will gladly sit in your lap for hours, purring away, all for a few ear scratches. She does appear to be shy and therefore is not incredibly thrilled by the loud barks of the dogs; however, she has not displayed any aggressive behavior toward any of the dogs or other cats. Copper enjoys sitting in the sunlight, any size box or enclosure, and, of course, ear scratches. She is fully litterbox trained and has a healthy appetite. Copper is up-to-date on all of her vaccines and is spayed. She is patiently waiting for the perfect family to walk in and take her home. The shelter is located at 8954 N. West Shafer Drive, next to the Dollar General in Buffalo. Winter hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 5-6 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Happy Tails is in need of volunteers. For more information or to help, email happytails@urhere.net.
