TIPPECANOE AND WHITE COUNTIES – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a resurfacing project will begin next week on State Road 43 from just south of Brookston to less than one and one half mile north of State Road 225. The contractor will begin with patching operations on Tuesday, May 28, weather permitting.
This work will be performed at night to minimize the impact to the traveling public from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. with the contractor flagging motorists around the area they will be working. This portion of the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of June.
This project also includes patching and resurfacing I-65 from the 180 mile marker to the 193 mile marker. This work is scheduled to begin on or after Monday, June 3. The work will take place overnight as well from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Construction is scheduled to be completed by mid-October.
Rieth-Riley Construction was awarded the $9.4 million contract.
