Jasper County’s event will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Jasper County Highway Garage on Ind. 114. The hours are 8 a.m to 12 p.m., CST.
The event is for household items only. No business or farm waste will be accepted. Household hazardous waste to be collected free of charge include oil, oil filters, mercury, antifreeze, poisons, chemical, oil-based paint, cleaners, herbicides, waste fuels, medications, CFLs, fluorescent tubes and pesticides.
Electronics will be accepted at each event also. Each of the following locations also accepted electronics year-round during their regular operating hours: Rensselaer Street Department, Carroll County Transfer Station, Pulaski County Recycling Center, Newton County Highway Garage, White County Recycling Center and Benton County Recycling Center.
Because of the ongoing possible exposure to COVID-19, it is requested that all event participants stay in their vehicles. If instructions about materials are needed, partially roll down the windows for conversations.
