TEFFT — A Jasper County man was taken into custody after he got into an altercation with a woman he allegedly “head-butted” at one point.
Albert B. Hendon, 27, of Wheatfield was arrested by Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputies after they were notified of a domestic battery complaint at a residence in the Tefft area.
When deputies arrived, they met with both the victim and Hendon. An investigation into the matter revealed that Hendon got upset with the victim and allegedly pulled her off the couch by her ankles. She landed on the floor next to the couch and Hendon reportedly began pushing her, trying to get her to leave.
It was then that Hendon reportedly “head-butted” the woman, who had an abrasion to her upper chest area and a complaint of pain to her chest and head. She refused medical attention, however.
Hendon was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center and later jailed for domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
Arrests and criminal charges are mere accusations. Every person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
