Local student competes nationally, online voting ends Friday
Kankakee Valley High School freshman Kayla Groen of the KV FFA Chapter again has entered a T-Shirt competition with the national FFA. And again her T-shirt is in the running to be sold nationally. Voting ends Friday on facebook, twitter and Pintrest. She was selected, along with 11 others as the top 12 in the nation. The top six T-shirt designs will be sold nationally by the FFA. To vote for Kayla Groen's design go to www.ffa.org. Then go to shop. You will see an icon to 'Vote Now.' A photo of the shirt, identified as designed by a Kankakee Valley Chapter, Indiana student, will be one of the selections. 'Like' that Kankakee Valley IN FFA shirt.
Last December Groen's T-shirt design won at the National FFA convention and was sold there. At that time Groen's FFA advisor Steve Inman said, “Kayla’s Tee Shirt Design being selected for National FFA Convention is exciting for our FFA Chapter, because we had FFA Members across Indiana voting.”
Vote for Groen's T-shirt soon. Voting ends Friday, March 15.
