The Milford Bearcats Golf program hosted their 21 annual Bearcat Open on June 28 at Shewami Country Club.

The outing had 30 teams participating this year. The four man scramble began with a sack lunch and a 1 p.m. tee time. The day ended with a pork chop dinner and live/silent auction.

The first place winners were Bopper Gillette, Randy Hiltz, Kent Schippert, and Scott Johnson. Bill Decker, Kyle Hallbeck, Larry Scherer, and Tyler Scherer were the second place team. The third place winners were Bill German, Chip Jorstad, Martin O’Donnell, and John Hemingway.

Individul winners were: Michele Luecke for longest drive for the women, Hunter Keith for longest drive for the men, Glenn Fox for closest to the pin, Randy Hiltz for closest to the line, Jeremy Allison for longest putt, Sean Galyen for closest to the line, Josh Harris for closest to the pin #16 and Rick Risley for longest putt #18.

The Bearcat Boosters would like to thank everyone who golfed, sponsored a hole, donated items or helped out in any way to make this event a success.

All precedes from the outing will go to help the Bearcat Boosters support projects for all the boys’ and girls’ athletic teams at Milford High School.
