Watseka is hosting a Little League Invitational tournament at Peter’s Park in Watseka.

The tournament, which is double elimination, is made up of eight teams in the Bronco division and six teams in the Mustang division.

The first night of games began on Monday night. The first two games in the Bronco division saw Iroquois West defeating Watseka’s Jay Morris Construction 21-8 while Herscher lost to Momence with a score of 8-2.

In the Mustang division, Newton County triumphed over Momence 8-7, while Iroquois West defeated Milford/Sheldon with a score of 18-3.

The games will take place all week long with respective games beginning at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. On Saturday, games will begin at 10 a.m. and again at noon with one game to be played on Sunday at 4 p.m.
