Coats for kids

Tiana Picketts’ vehicle is filled with coats to be distributed to local children.

    One woman, with a little help, has collected and purchased coats for local school children ahead of chilly winter weather for roughly 20 years.

    Tiana Pickett, an employee at AHW LLC John Deere, located at TK in Williamsport, plans to continue her efforts, which stem back to the mid ’90s (when her daughter was a child), this year. She even planned to purchase 40 coats Monday night, after I spoke with her in the conference room of the John Deere store. The total would likely reach into hundreds of dollars of her and a friend’s contributions.
